All About The Program
The General Practice Australia Program is dedicated to connecting international medical graduates with partnered Australian general practices to supply much needed general practitioners into areas of need in the Australian healthcare system. Through essential education and hands-on experience, we prepare medical professionals to transition smoothly into general practice in Australia. Our comprehensive training equips practitioners with the skills needed to address the distinct challenges of the Australian healthcare landscape. IMGs receive education via our partners, The Insitute of Medical Education and work towards Fellowship by transitioning to the Fellowship Support Program. Our partner general practices, provide the necessary supervision in a clinical setting required to complete the education pathway. Upon completion of the Fellowship Support Program, IMGs are able to apply to sit for their exams to achieve Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. With a commitment to excellence, we aim to educate and empower our practitioners and by doing so, make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of communities across Australia.
